DR. JON A. SCHMIDT is Vice President, Environmental & Regulatory at EXP in Tallahassee, Florida. He received his education as the following B.S., Marine Biology, University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, M.S., Biological Sciences, University of Bridgeport and Ph.D., Biological Sciences, Florida State University.  Dr. Schmidt is currently the Vice President, Environmental & Regulatory Services of EXP Energy Services Inc. He joined EXP in May of 2009. Prior to joining EXP, Jon was the Senior Vice President with AECOM (and ENSR) from 1996 through 2009, responsible for all midstream, LNG, and oil pipeline infrastructure permitting and regulatory work. Jon started his career with Ecology and Environment (now RPS) after graduate school, responsible for permitting and regulatory work for powerlines, pipelines, DoD facilities (Navy), and development projects. Dr. Schmidt has extensive experience in environmental management, particularly with respect to the energy industry including: environmental regulatory strategy development and project planning, project management, environmental baseline surveys, permitting, and environmental inspection and monitoring. In over 30 years, he has permitted over 30,000 miles of pipeline projects in most states in the US for mid-stream pipeline companies, gas distributors, and producers. He has also permitted hydroelectric facilities in South America, numerous on and offshore LNG facilities, CO2 sequestration pipelines and facilities, solar and wind farms, and refined products, natural gas, and crude oil pipelines and terminals throughout the US and the world. Currently, Dr. Schmidt is the Environmental Project Manager for the Summit Carbon Solutions Midwest Carbon Express (MCE) Project in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota, the Blue Marlin Offshore Port (BMOP) Deepwater Port licensing, and was the environmental project manager for the Alaska LNG Project, Keystone XL and Keystone pipelines projects, and other notable infrastructure.

COLLEEN FABER is Senior Environmental Advisor for Western Midstream in Gillette, Wyoming, overseeing environmental management of their South Texas Asset. She grew up in Central Montana and attended Montana State University where she obtained her bachelors of science degree in Agronomy and soil science and currently holds a professional soil scientist certification in the state of Wyoming.  Colleen has worked in the Oil & Gas Industry in Northeast Wyoming since 2004 with a focus on environmental and regulatory management.  She was the oil and gas representative on the NE Wyoming Sage Grouse Working Group, Petroleum Association of Wyoming’s Reclamation Committee Chairman along with speaking at statewide events including the Western Governors Association Bio-security Working Lands Round-table, Wyoming Mining Natural Resource Foundation and University of Wyoming’s Reclamation Symposium. In 2008 working as an environmental manager for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, the company received the Industry Reclamation and Wildlife Stewardship Award from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for proactive reclamation practices along with wildlife studies within its project areas. She participated in the American Petroleum Institute’s 2018 State of American Energy Luncheon in Washington, D.C., as well as their ad campaign for the industry.  She is a 2018 Wyoming Women of Influence nominee in the Energy and Utility category.  

CHRIS JASMINE is the Manager of Biodiversity and Rangelands for Nevada Gold Mines and AU Ranches, located in Northeastern Nevada. With a degree in Rangeland Ecology from the University of Nevada Reno, Chris has dedicated his career to working in both the public and private sectors in Nevada, focusing on the intersection between the Agricultural and Mining industries and Great Basin ecology. As a 6th generation Nevadan, he understands the importance of rural Nevada’s mining and agricultural traditions, while still valuing the native flora and fauna that make this region so unique. At NGM, he is responsible for leading the development of conservation strategies for habitat and key species in support of Nevada Gold Mines mining business and ranching model.  His teams oversee both he day to day agricultural operations on NGMs 11 ranches and also the implementation of the country’s largest greater sage-grouse mitigation banks. Through this work he closely interacts with mine operations, NEPA permitting teams, state and federal agencies, local stakeholders, and environmental NGOs to anticipate necessary and voluntary conservation actions and establish the company's strategies for preserving key biodiversity features. In his personal life, he enjoys traditional archery and all things outdoors and is a dedicated family man with a wife and two teenage kids.
